Q: How many people are on a team?
A: You need a minimum of 5 people to form your own team. The team fee covers up to 8 players, but you can add additional players for an additional fee.
Q: Can I sign-up as an individual?
A: Yes, you can sign-up as a free agent and we will do our best to place you on a team or form a team of awesome free agents like yourself!
Q: Who can participate?
A: This is an adult only field day and you must be 21+ to participate.
Q: Can I attend as a spectator?
A: We think you will have more fun if you sign up as a participant, but you are welcome to come cheer on your friends if that’s more of your thing.
Q: Can children attend?
A: Children are welcome to attend as spectators for free, provided they stay a safe distance away from the activities. There will be a HoustonSSC Fun Zone on site with some games to keep the kiddos busy, but please do not leave your children unattended.
Q: Can I volunteer to help?
A: Yes, we will need plenty of volunteers to help with facilitating the games. All volunteers will receive an awesome tshirt, lunch, and are invited to join staff at the after party. Please click HERE to sign-up.
Q: Can I sign-up to play on-site?
A: We are taking all player sign-ups in advance and cannot guarantee you a spot on the day-of. Please click HERE to sign-up online today!
Q: Will there be food for sale?
A: TBD! In 2019, there was ballpark type food for sale at the concessions stand.
Q: Will there be alcohol for sale?
A: Yes! There will be beer and spiked seltzer for sale at the concessions stand.
Q: Will there be seating available?
A: Yes, there will be some covered seating available, but we encourage you to bring your own folding chair, blanket, umbrella, or tents to guarantee you are comfortable. There will be a designated team area for you to setup in.
Q: Where is Field Day Houston located?
A: We will be located at the Oaks Dads Club Candlelight Sports Complex at 6500 Rena Street.
Q: Can I wear a costume?
A: Yes, please come dressed in your finest costumes! There will be a prize for the team with the Best Dressed and costumes will definitely be a factor.
Q: Will there be restrooms on site?
A: Yes, there are women's and men's restrooms on site.
Q: What happens if it rains on Field Day?
A: The event will be held rain or shine. No refunds will be provided. However, if the field becomes unplayable or dangerous, the event will be rescheduled for TBD.
